Mission

 

I. Mission

 

1)  To strengthen the relationships among all African Americans within the Princeton University community through networking and mentoring to promote a stronger sense of community and mutual support.

 

2)  To strengthen the relationship between African American Princetonians and the University community by making the University’s resources more accessible and by making the resources of African American Princetonians more accessible to the University community. 

 

 

II. Goals

 

We intend to carry out the above articulated mission through the achievement of the goals set forth below:

A. Provide professional, cultural and social support to African American graduates of Princeton University.

B. Provide 
    1. professional/career planning 
    2. academic 
    3. financial 
    4. cultural 
    5. moral 
    6. social support to African American students of Princeton University.

C. Provide admissions advice to prospective African American students who are considering attending Princeton University.

D. Provide leadership on issues which significantly affect African Americans both within and outside the University community.

E. Foster partnerships between ABPA and other organizations that will help to advance the goals of ABPA.

F. Raise the funds necessary to accomplish the above stated mission and goals of ABPA.
